So, inspired by a post over at romhacking.net, I decided to whip this hack up:

zelda to the pastIt’s mostly complete.

Zelda sprite was done by someone called Crimson (thanks for the correction Puzzledude) , I just inserted it into the game.

Palettes are done, although text isn’t due to Hyrule Magic being utter trash that breaks the dialogue when edited.

This will be base for your hacks that feature Zelda instead of link.

So, I deleted the C# version of Script Tool. Started work on a C++/WinAPI version, put that aside, then started work on another version in C# and I am thinking about going back to the C++/WinAPI version.

I suck at programming. 🙁

Please note: No one has taught me programming. I’m having to learn this shit on my own and I’m not having much success. >:(

Decided to cobble together a script editor for translation use.

X68k stuffs.

So, instead of dividing my attention maintaining multiple blogs, I decided to relocate my x68k dev blog to here.

Progress so far:

  • UI mostly designed
  • Skeleton code for .ini file support
  • Basic Direct3D stuff.

Still need to do:

  • Renderer: DirectDraw (still not sure if I want add this)
  • Audio: DirectSound + MIDI support
  • x68k CPU core
  • x68k Video
  • x68k Audio
  • Input: XInput for controller support, DirectInput for Keyboard

Help is always welcome. Just be sure you’re okay with your contributions being under the GPL v2.

Switched development environment to Visual Studio 2008.

 

Not Dead Yet!

Thanks to some generous people, my host’s main site hast been renewed.
So I don’t plan on going anywhere for a while.

Meanwhile, time to bring you a full status update:

  • All my tests with editing some of Princess Maker 2’s status
    screens has ended in failure. May have to ask for help on this.
  • Trying to get Script Tool into a workable state right now.
  • Nurvus is nothing but skeleton code right now with no real meat to it.
  • I’m temporarily going bye bye.

    Due to unforeseen circumstances, my host is disappearing. I’ll be backing up

    Things are progressing nicely, dropped Filaha unfortunately.

    Getting bored with almost everything these days, but have no fear; Princess Maker 2 Refine will be translated.

    Need to redump the script, because I probably missed a few things.
